About the Role

Ledvore is hiring a resource to work from our Coimbatore office on behalf of one of our international automotive clients (Europe & USA). This is a client-dedicated role — you will be the primary point of contact managing customer portal activity, document preparation and international client relationships, based full-time out of our Coimbatore team.

What You Will Do

• Manage customer portal activity on behalf of the client (e.g. supplier portals, sourcing platforms) — tracking RFQs, sourcing events and open tasks through to closure
• Serve as the frontline contact for international customer discussions, primarily in the automotive sector
• Coordinate between the client’s European/US customers and internal engineering/technical teams
• Support technical proposals and quotations, working closely with the client’s engineering team
• Handle multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with international clients
• Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency in communication, reporting and portal management

What We Look For

• 3 to 5 years in a customer-facing sales/technical role, ideally in automotive or industrial B2B
• Strong experience handling international clients (Europe and/or USA)
• Excellent written and spoken English (non-negotiable)
• Mechanical engineering background preferred, with basic CAD familiarity
• Strong multitasking and organisational skills, comfortable across digital customer/sourcing portals
• Nice to have: exposure to automotive supplier portals (Ford/Covisint, SAP Ariba), AI tool fluency, PMP/CAPM certification

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who can take a machine from a blank sheet to a working installation. This is not a drafting or detailing role — if you have spent your career modelling parts to someone else’s specification, this will not suit you.

What You Will Do

• Read the client requirement, challenge it where it is incomplete, and develop the concept and layout
• Carry out full mechanical design, including structures, mechanisms, guarding, pneumatics and motion
• Select components: size and choose pneumatic cylinders, actuators, linear guides, bearings, drives, sensors and structural sections based on load, stroke, cycle time and duty
• Carry out market and vendor sourcing: research suppliers, compare specifications and pricing, and integrate supplier CAD models into the assembly
• Produce manufacturing and assembly drawings that a machine shop can build from directly
• Support build, commissioning and design changes on the shop floor

What We Look For

• Experience designing special-purpose machines, automation equipment, jigs or fixtures — must have built machines, not just modelled parts
• Automation knowledge: PLC, EOAT, HMI, sensors
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD, including large assemblies and drawing standards
• Demonstrable component selection ability
• Excellent spoken and written English; the role involves regular calls with European clients
• Preferred: experience with European clients or standards (CE marking, machinery safety), exposure to medtech/automotive/plastics equipment, and familiarity with GD&T and DFM principles
